I often pass this pair of #Swans on my #Bike circuit but today I thought I’d take their #photographs while they seemed to be doing some house cleaning. I think the protective netting was put up by the owners of the nearby pub to make sure the #Nest is protected from #Pedestrians and #Cyclists, which is a nice thought. Luckily they were unperturbed by my presence and so I didn’t feel that I had to flee at short notice.

It gives them hope when they find that even as far away from them as Orkney is, that there are people who know of their #suffering, and who care.

We had spent much time away from each other as he enlisted into the Air Force and left shortly after graduating from High School. A couple of times we had lived separately for two years, and six months at a time, and so many random weeks. My first week on base, I was alone because he was sent to another country!

But now we are focused on fixing up our home and do not travel like we used to. Plus civilians do not get time off like the military do! ☹️ I cannot wait until we have enough line of credit to fix up the exterior, because it will be the last of the work and then I know that we will have free time to hike again! If you are planning to visit Poland and Krakow the #Photography History Museum (MuFo) is a must.
The MuFo on Juzefitow Street offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at the work of restorers, a peek into the #darkroom or how old #photographs are digitised. They have a huge collection of prints, #negatives and old photographic equipment.

I highly recommend it!
