A dear friend of mine and one of the people if not THE person who made me vegan, @Arseni, launched a new website regarding veganism. It explains what veganism is and tackles lots of questions and issues, all through archived Instagram posts he's downloading and posting on the website. It's really educational for vegans and non-vegans. Since lots of people (rightfully) avoid Instagram and Meta services in general (Particularly those on the fediverse.), this is a great way to share informational posts without going to any of those services. Neither of us are earning any money from this, by the way (Closest thing is him having a button to donate on the website, but the website isn't earning money.).

We will be sharing reflections and experiences of struggle from Abya Yala, distributing booklets, engaging in conversation, and exchanging ideas to continue building an international movement for the freedom of all animals.
We will also provide updates on the situation of vegan anarchist prisoner Osman Evcan, who has been imprisoned for 43 years. Vegan food and snacks will be provided by Food Not Bombs Berlin.
This event is organized by Accionyliberacion in collaboration with Freedom for Osman Evcan and Food Not Bombs Berlin.

*Comparing PURINA vs. Veggie animals catfoods**
First image: Purina's hypoallergenic cat food which is 99% vegan. It "only" contains fish oil in the table of contents.
If we go deeper though we will find pork fat too. Would a cat ever eat a pig? Nope! Even my cat's vet yesterday said "animal fat can harm her".
The next two images are the ingredients of a new cat food, made in Spain, by the company Veggie animals. Wonderful cruelty free ingredients.
If we compare the two brands, what's given from the fish oil in the Purina one can be found as omega 3 and 6 acids in the Veggie animals one. By not giving fish oil, we also protect them from heavy metals and other toxins that are sadly accumulated in our fish friends little bodies due to human pollution that's destroying the seas and slowly killing all Marine life.
The last image is a screenshot of what a Finnish vet specialised in cats wrote to me last week.
If what we want is hydrolyzed protein - and this is found in the plant based option, along with so many other ingredients that help cats with IBD, then, why on Earth would anyone select the animal based cat food?
The vet yesterday recommended hydrolised soy protein over hydrolyzed Animal based protein.
I showed her the ingredients of the Veggie animals catfood and she approved it.
Did I call the food vegan or plant based? No.
Would it make a difference if I had done so? I believe it would.People feel fear and negativity against whatever follows the V-word and this is highly problematic. It shows the prejudice against veganism.
