"#PascalCohen, owner and executive director of #CampModin, a #Jewish #summercamp in #Belgrade, wrote in his complaint seeking a protection order that #Hewett intentionally tries to create disturbances to the camp with the lights from his truck and late-night fireworks, and often fires his guns nearby, distressing campers.

“Especially when he is intoxicated,” #Black wrote. “He harasses us by coming to the property line and screaming at us.”

On Aug. 7, Hewett, 36, allegedly fired a semi-automatic #rifle near Camp Modin. The #camp was occupied by at least 400 campers and staff members at the time of the incident. No one was injured. The camp went into #lockdown and the camp’s security guards put on their #bodyarmor and readied their own #weapons."

"A Florida man has been indicted for allegedly plotting a mass shooting targeting #Jewish employees at a pro-#Israel #nonprofit organization, the Justice Department said.

#ForrestKendallPemberton, 27, of #Gainesville, is charged with an attempted #hatecrime, using and carrying a #firearm during a crime of violence, and possession of a short-barreled #rifle.

Federal prosecutors said that on Dec. 23, 2024, #Pemberton attempted to carry out a shooting at an office belonging to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (#AIPAC), a group that lobbies the U.S. government in support of Israel, in the South Florida city of #Plantation.

He was reportedly armed with an #AR15-style rifle equipped with a silencer. The Palm Beach Post previously reported that AIPAC was the targeted group. Court documents didn’t specify the nonprofit."
