The new rules might cause some friction -- but they generally make Android safer for everyone.
And that's always a good thing.

Google zaostrza zasady instalacji aplikacji na Androidzie, co częściowo potwierdza podejście Apple do bezpieczeństwa w App Store.
Od 2026 r. na certyfikowanych urządzeniach z Androidem będzie można instalować wyłącznie aplikacje od zweryfikowanych deweloperów. Dotyczy to nie tylko Google Play, ale także sklepów zewnętrznych i sideloadingu (APK).
Google tłumaczy decyzję walką z malware i oszustwami finansowymi.
Abner Li słusznie zauważa na łamach 9to5Google:
Aby walczyć ze złośliwym oprogramowaniem i (dodatkowo) oszustwami finansowymi, Google ogłosił, że tylko aplikacje od programistów, którzy przeszli weryfikację, mogą być instalowane na certyfikowanych urządzeniach z Androidem, począwszy od 2026 roku.
Wymóg ten dotyczy „certyfikowanych urządzeń z Androidem”, które mają Play Protect i są wstępnie załadowane aplikacjami Google. Sklep Play wdrożył podobne wymagania w 2023 roku, ale Google nakazuje to teraz dla wszystkich metod instalacji, w tym sklepów z aplikacjami innych firm i sideloadingu, w którym pobierasz plik APK ze źródła zewnętrznego.

When I first "replaced" Android Messages app with Microsoft's SMS Organizer app, MSMSO was tiny, then it got an official releaae and bloated hideously but it's still not as big as Android Messages in storage or cache.
