So, I kickstart a lot of things. I know lots of creative people who do cool stuff. A lot of projects I’ve gotten behind have been adult graphic novels and comics that face stiff resistance in traditional publishing. Publishers like Iron Circus and artists like Jennie Gyllblad, just off the top of my head.
This week #Kickstarter, at the demand of their payment processor #Stripe, released new rules about adult content, and upon initial review, they may be banning it. On second review, perhaps the rules are there to tell creators how to hide it from Stripe’s censors. Opinions are divided.
Because, welcome to the NeoPuritan Age, I guess. Honestly, if I could just sit down with the board of Stripe and read them a few select passages from the Bible they all claim to follow, I can read them much more obscene things than some friendly frolicking between consensual tentacles.
