Years ago, Germany's conservatives (#CDU) promised to “halve” the fascist party (AfD). To achieve that, the CDU appeased the AfD and echoed parts of their rhetoric, especially in their immigration policy, hoping to regain the trust of voters lost to the AfD.
Today, the quick count for the state election in Saxony-Anhalt revealed that the #AfD doubled its results, while the CDU lost half its votes. So much for #appeasement.

It's about how Canada shouldn't even try to appease him, because it doesn't matter - no matter what concessions we make, he's gonna do whatever he wants. And I've been saying that since he got back into the office and eliminated all the adults in the room that kept his first administration within spitting distance of normality.
