Many CEOs are narcissists. Narcissists are pathological liars.

"So many AI researchers have started smoking as a way of signaling to other researchers how much they believe in AI," Sankar said in an interview on CBS News' "Face the Nation" on Sunday.

"The logic, he said, is: "I believe so much in AI that it's going to cure cancer. So I'm showing you my chips are all in."

"Sankar did not name any researchers or provide evidence for the claim."

I wrote a book about this, and yes, it could get really bad:

"Hitler didn’t believe that he had failed. He believed that he had been failed by the German people.

"So...he issued the “Decree concerning demolitions in the Reich territory. It ordered the destruction of Germany’s own infrastructure — supposedly to deny that infrastructure to the Allies, but the obvious purpose was to punish his own country."
