This is a #reread for me. It's not my absolute favourite of his, but I really enjoy it. Made into a great #film of course, but it was an illustrated storybook first. Fifty years ago today David Bowie killed Ziggy Stardust live on stage at the Hammersmith Odeon.
At the time fans thought he was retiring entirely.
Luckily this was not the case and he continued to push boundaries for many years, continually renewing his earthly frame - as well as bringing inspiration, and pleasure, to lots of little children, like me, who were not of the worlds they were currently inhabiting, and who dreamed of being free -
