  1. Yo genderqueer and cis people alike, what's a weird situation that doesn't seem like it should make you feel good about your gender, but totally does? What about the other way, something that dose not make you feel good?

For me, it makes me feel amazing to walk into a small hole-in-the-wall fancy coffee shop, and order a large mocha late. I don't know why, but my brain just associates the act of ordering a late with queerness, and so it feels really good to do so. Interestingly, my brain also feels that small lates are more masculinely queer, while large lates are more femininely queer. Oh, and drip coffee is cishet.

For the not feeling good, I like cars, and that is a traditionally masculine thing. This creates an internal conflict between liking going to a car show to see cool cars, and wishing there were more women (and/or less antivax bumper stickers, which might also help with the women) there.

Also let me know if you relate to the lates thing, or if that's just my brain?

  4. There Is No Entrance Exam for Womanhood

Sometimes the hardest person to convince that you belong is yourself. A personal reflection on missed girlhood, femininity, gender expression and learning that womanhood does not require proof.

  6. The Paper Scalpel

In 2022, after years of court fights, Donna Langan became the first person in federal custody ever to receive gender confirmation surgery. The Bureau of Prisons directory listed her as female. In February 2025, three weeks into the new administration, she was notified that the system holding her was moving her to a men's facility. Her body had changed years before, under lawful medical care ordered through the government's own clinical process. What changed in 2025 was a signature in Washington, and the signature was enough. 12. My rebuild of the Gender Dysphoria Bible site is nearly finished. I have one big feature left before I start migrating translations into it.

This new codebase is so much nicer. The pages are now built with MDX (Markdown + JSX) instead of a confusing mix of markdown, handlebars, and raw html. Tweet copy is now in the page copy, making it much easier to translate, and PDFs for each language are automatically generated.
