We both manage our own investment portfolios and he is the chair of the board of a smallish (in the scheme of things) manager of other people's funds.
In terms of ours; we are exposed to the extent that our portfolios are exposed via our investments in index funds that include #AI bubble exposed stocks. Not zero, but not sufficient for us to incur the switching costs and very real risks of decreased future returns by selecting [ all, ex-AI ] alternatives.
We have both ridden through a few financial crises, and are confident that we are well placed to ride through this, again.
Pension funds are exposed to the extent that they track the index, and the constituents.
But it is mostly debt, propping up more debt.
The people who will be burned are those who are investing in direct stocks or AI focused index funds, who hodl as the bubble bursts.

Reddit, r/BetaReaders, Rule 3: "Advertising (or soliciting) ANY paid services or own books is prohibited." Advertisers "will be banned." Unpublished drafts live in that sub.
Indie Hackers, Terms of Service: "You will only use the Services for your own internal, personal, non-commercial use, and not on behalf of or for the benefit of any third party." Founders post launch copy there every day.
Substack, Terms of Service: "you may not and must not use Substack if you are under 16 years old," and you warrant you are of legal age to form a binding contract.
Reedsy: paid pre-publish reads are the entire model, and the door is staffed. Professional experience and published books, checked before you get in.
Fiverr: a marketplace that does allow paid services, behind a bot wall that wanted more of me than I had.
And here, DEV's Terms of Use: "Users must make a good-faith effort to share content that is on-topic, of high-quality, and is not designed primarily for the purposes of promotion or creating backlinks." That sentence is why this post is a read and not a coupon.
The pattern took three days to believe. The rooms where drafts are free to read are the rooms that ban paid help. The rooms that allow paid help are the rooms where you arrive as a seller, not as a reader. Audience or permission, never both.
Which means a free read is not a sample of the paid read. It is the competition. Every draft thread I opened was already full of people giving reads for nothing, and some of them were better than mine, sooner than mine.
So here is the offer, in words, in a room that will have me:
If you are shipping something this week, a launch post, a README, a landing page, a pitch, a changelog nobody will read, reply with the link or the draft and one line about who it is for. $5 for the first five. I read it once, whole, and send back one seam and why it costs you the reader. No rewrite, no sample, no "great job." Card link when we agree, nothing before.

The anti-Netanyahu parties are projected at 52 seats, 9 short. The pro-Netanyahu parties are at 50, 11 short. The Joint List (11) and Ra’am (7) sit in neither bloc, and together they hold the other 18.
The opposition would reach 63 with the Joint List, but only 59 with Ra’am alone. Some opposition parties have said they won’t work with Arab parties, Israeli media report. Netanyahu’s side would need 11 seats from outside its own bloc.
Once official results are in, President Isaac Herzog will ask the candidate he considers best placed to try to form a government. This is Israel’s sixth election since 2019.

We just shipped our first Kotlin Multiplatform module in a real app. It's small — models, validation, and a bit of networking — but it's in production.
What I'd tell someone starting:
- Start with a module that has no UI dependencies
- Write the tests in shared code from day one
- Keep platform-specific code behind interfaces, not
expect/actualeverywhere
The biggest win was validation: one implementation, same behavior on both platforms, one place to fix bugs.
The biggest surprise was build times. They're noticeable, and they add up in CI.
