Tradycyjne namioty dachowe typu hardshell często mają jedną zasadniczą wadę – ich konstrukcja sprawia, że służą niemal wyłącznie do spania. Szwedzka marka Thule postanowiła rozwiązać ten problem.
Nowy model Widesky został zaprojektowany tak, aby zaoferować użytkownikom przestrzeń wypoczynkową również w ciągu dnia, nie tracąc przy tym na aerodynamice i łatwości obsługi.
Większość namiotów w twardej obudowie otwiera się w kształt trójkątnego klina. Thule podeszło do tematu inaczej, unosząc również przednią część dachu, co pozwala na swobodne siedzenie w wyprostowanej pozycji. Najciekawszym rozwiązaniem jest jednak modularny materac, który można szybko przekształcić w oparcie, tworząc wewnątrz namiotu wygodną sofę.
To rozwiązanie szczególnie docenią osoby spędzające w trasie całe dnie. Zamiast chować się przed deszczem w kabinie auta, zyskują wygodne miejsce, w którym mogą wypić poranną kawę czy popracować z laptopem na kolanach. Za błyskawiczne rozkładanie i zamykanie całości odpowiadają siłowniki gazowe oraz zintegrowany system linek ściągających, dzięki czemu przygotowanie obozowiska zajmuje dosłownie kilka sekund.
Lekka inżynieria i aerodynamika
Z perspektywy kierowcy najważniejsze są jednak parametry transportowe. Inżynierom udało się zamknąć te funkcje w bardzo kompaktowej formie. Zamknięty namiot ma zaledwie 20 centymetrów wysokości, co znacząco ogranicza opory powietrza podczas szybszej jazdy. Całość waży niespełna 68 kilogramów. Takie parametry osiągnięto dzięki zastosowaniu aluminiowej obudowy oraz podłogi o strukturze plastra miodu.
Niska masa własna sprawia, że Widesky bez problemu mieści się w limitach nośności dachów większości standardowych samochodów osobowych, nie ograniczając się wyłącznie do dużych SUV-ów czy aut terenowych.
Detale i wyposażenie
Przestrzeń wewnątrz dopełniają duże, panoramiczne okna, panele z siatki zapewniające wentylację oraz zintegrowane, ściemniane oświetlenie LED. Wnętrze wykończono ocieplanym, filcowym sufitem, a do dyspozycji użytkowników oddano cztery wewnętrzne kieszenie na sprzęt. Praktycznym dodatkiem jest aluminiowa drabinka, którą można zamontować po dowolnej stronie pojazdu – jej transportowy pokrowiec służy na biwaku jako wiszący organizer na drobiazgi. Do budowy poszycia wykorzystano grube materiały pochodzące z recyklingu.
Rynkowa premiera Thule Widesky została zaplanowana na kwiecień 2026 roku. Producent ustalił cenę na polskim rynku na 15 999 złotych.

Ik heb me de afgelopen anderhalve week door de #Thule-trilogie van Thea Beckman gebinged. In dit geval wel op de e-reader trouwens, wie de boeken inmiddels heeft weet ik niet. Fijn weer te lezen en nu als volwassene. Nou ja, fijn. De boodschap is helaas minder fijn.

Seems I got delivered a Thule file manager update - spruced up display and Right Click -> Rename is now there.
But Thule hangs when I ask it to display contents on a 256GB SD card. Whereas Xfe file manager performs as expected.
Pretty sure that it was Thule that was putting very incorrect date stamps on files before I reinstalled it about 8 months ago.
