For #QuadLock case owners, if you don’t have one you can skip this…

It’s a fantastic case with one intentionally bad design flaw: The stupid coloured magnet ring (“MagSafe”) will eventually break its snaps & come out every time you disconnect a magnetic attachment (several times per day for me). They did this to sell you stupid coloured ring packs at inflated prices.

BUT, about a year ago I super glued my ring in with a plastic bonding glue and it has held wonderfully. Highly recommend!

I kinda wish apple would also develop a more high end version of those magsafe second screens from temu/Amazon that could be more full featured with touchscreen, its own processor, but connected to the main phone via a magsafe+quadlock + hinge mechanism to essentially be like a magsafe(+quadlock) temporary foldable that could be removed when you just want the single slab, and then added when you want a second screen with full functionality.

Looks like #quadlock have messed up on their iPhone 17 case - good on them for sending out a free replacement when it’s ready.

I really like my #Fairphone 5 - it's reasonably fast, everything i need works (mostly without GAFAM as far as i can get atm) and i intend to use it for a long time.

But there is one "downside" of using a niche phone:
I want to attach my phone to my bikes, but all the cool kids (#PeakDesign, #SPConnect, #QuadLock) don't have specific cases for the Fairphone. I could go with an universal adapter, but alas i'm not sure if they will work fine (and safe) with an ordinary TPU case.

I really like the #QuadLock phone case and mount for my #bike, but I wish the case was grippier on its own. My cheap Spigen case has a very nice texture and grip. The QuadLock case has a smooth back.

I use it with my iPhone 15 and despite making this phone bulkier it also makes it more convinient and secure to use.

And you can always mount it to your bike in fast, easy and secure way!

Jakość wykonania jest bardzo dobra, materiały przyjemne w dotyku, przyciski responsywne.

Jedyna ładowarka bezprzewodowa z jaką używałem tego etui to samochodowy uchwyt #Belkin - działa bez problemu.

Jedyny problem to zima i oczekiwanie na wiosnę żeby częściej podpiąć etui do #rower’u ;)

Smartphone Hüllen und Bike Mounts... Hatte Quadlock seit Jahren. Hat mir gute Dienste geleistet. Problem war immer: Montagepunkt finden, der Quarter Turn erlaubt (zwischen Aerobars etc.). Inak zaujímavé, to Poncho je ozaj pončo. Mobil je v obale a pončo sa dáva ešte cez neho. Na vnútornej strane na displej je taký drsný povrch, ktorý by mal uľahčiť ovládanie.

I have a Mag Case on my phone, and a Stem Bar mount zip-tied to my bike....

But, there MUST be a way to replace my Stem CAP with a Quadlock Mount, right??? There doesn't appear to be a specific product, but someone must have DIY'd a solution right???

So, wha' ya got???

I have a quad lock case coming tomorrow. Until then, I'm guessing that this phone won't be leaving the house.
