Watched a dancer give an inspirational message and summarize the story of the monkey king.
I never saw Shen Yun perform in person, but I think I should try to catch them. It is interesting when people show political ideology through dance. I would rather we have dance battles than wars.

Aber die Situation ist jetzt die, dass Tripitaka auf dem Grund des Flusses zum Himmel in einer Steinkiste liegt & vom Dämon "Beseelter Erfühler" gefressen werden wird, wenn nicht sehr schnell jemand eine Idee hat, wie man ihn retten.

Ich hoffe, ich habe beim Versuch, chinesische Kosmologie zu verstehen, nicht aus Versehen irgendnen Dämon heraufbeschworen, weil ich die Schriftzeichrn total verhunzt habe.
Edit: Bonuspunkte an mich für das Verhunzen des Wortes Schriftzeichen, wodurch ich wahrscheinlich wieder die kosmische Energie ins Gleichgewicht gebracht habe.

Thinking ahead to #FolkloreWeek2023 theme found I’m reminded of my linocut for last year’s rebel theme, a favourite irrepressible mischievous hero of Chinese folklore, Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. His story is one of finding sources of immortality again and again! All this before his great Journey to the West to find and retrieve the Buddhist Sutras.

Started watching #MoneyHeist on NF. Interesting so far, and I don’t mind the fact that it’s dubbed. Honestly I don’t get people who love to watch shows in languages they don’t speak, subtitled. Subtitles force you to flick your eyes away from the action, then back to the action, then back again constantly. Nope.
Also checking out #MonkeyKing, because I loved the old live action show “Monkey” back in the 80’s. Meh. Probably won’t continue that one past a couple episodes - we’ll see.
Completed S2 of #Outlander. Loving it so far, looking forward to moar.
That’s my Saturday streaming show roundup. Why am I using Masto like a diary? Who knows.
