After beating Laxasia and getting to the top of the Arche Abbey, I went back and finally started playing the DLC. I've been going at it for a few days now, and I'm having a really good time.
Also, I really appreciate how the devs haven't been scared of ramping up the difficulty, I've had a handful of really tough fights that have been so much fun!
I'm currently stuck on the Two-Faced Overseer, where the devs seem to have taken complaints about the rebalancing of the base game making it too easy and gone full on "Oh, is that right? Ok, parry this, you filthy casual!".

And thatβs it. Lords of the Fallen is one of the strangest gaming experiences Iβve ever had. On the one hand, I found myself regularly frustrated by the technical issues and many design choices; on the other hand, the game was a lot of fun in the moments in between. Iβm looking forward to the sequel. Thereβs a lot of potential.

The first time I played Lies of P I didn't fully appreciate the fight against Romeo. It's generally agreed that it is one of the best fights in the game, but I used a lot of throwables and basically melted its life bar. It was a first try victory, but it was quite unsatisfactory. And since then it's been stuck as a thorn on my side...
Until today. I finally encountered Romeo again, and this time I beat it properly. I died a few dozen times until finally, just when I was about to quit the game for the night... I've killed him. And now I can only agree with the consensus, it is such a tough and fun fight!!

The Black Rabbit Brotherhood are done for! Mistakes were made, but in the end I managed to come out victorious π€
I absolutely adore this fight. Although I don't know if it's because they've rebalanced it since I played it on release or what, but this time it felt quite more manageable than before. The Eldest mostly waits for his turn while the other brothers take their shots at you, and also the damage they deal is pretty low while the Eldest hits like a truck. And with that, the fight is even more fun, balanced, and exciting than before!

Did I just die? Did I just come back to life? Did the boss just die? Did I unlock a new class? Whatβs going? π

After making my way through an area whose architecture in marble and red tones evoked Roman style, I opened the grand gates to the Empyrean and was greeted by a rainy scene in rich browns and golds. The game is beautiful and features (albeit only occasionally) stunning transitions from one area to the next.

One of the nicer aspects of Lords of the Fallen is its flexibility. I turned my bearded polearm butcher into a nimble sword-wielding priestess. Not only is there a respec option, but you can also go back to the character creator and redesign your character. Iβm also into fashion souls now and I put on some cool-looking armour instead of the kind with the best stats. The best defence is still not getting hit and looking sharp.

Credits rolling for Deathbound... Game is ok, but not awesome. And the fact that it is pretty short (it took me less than 10 hours to beat!) is a shame, because it doesn't give enough time for some of its ideas to build towards something more interesting. On the other hand, once you figure out the trick (which is changing equipped character a lot in order to allow for HP recovery of inactive ones while you deal damage) the game becomes pretty easy and you can mostly tank bosses without too much risk of dying.
Still, I'm glad I played it :)

Solo fighting Promised Consort Radahn with help from my Mimic Tear ashes. Btw he's the last final boss of the whole DLC and I guess the whole game.
After a 15 month break from the game, where during those times we lost our dog, the people who kept my chat alive, and most importantly the friend who introduced me to this game, it's finally done.

The only reason I keep playing Elden Ring was because it was awesome. It's hard and fucking frustrating that I still manage to die to a lowly soldier in Haligtree sometimes but it's alright.
That and there was someone who inspired me throughout, but they're gone now. I still beat myself because of it. I was so stupid and angry, and confused. I was unstable that time, but I'm trying to forget about it. It'll take a while.

That said he's invited me to play DS1 with seamless coop too and uhhhhhh, the keyboard controls are weird. He told me I'm spoiled by Elden Ring's features and yeah I couldn't deny it. He said he "thrives" more in that game and he likes the dark dirty look compared to the Elden Ring's cleaner and more detailed look. We're polar opposites but yeah I'll try to adapt and play

I have about 500 gigs worth of Elden Ring seamless coop footage with my cousin and I'm currently gaining the strength to edit em and share them to the world. We beat the base game in like a week and the dlc about a week and a half.

Just resting after fighting the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree, Promised Consort Radahn. I didn't summon anyone. Just me and my trusty mimic tear who died halfway the boss' HP, I think. It was stressful.
After a 15 month break from Elden Ring and one good friend that I lost, who introduced me to this fucking wonderful but really fucking hard game. Whereever you are right now, thank you. I still can't never forget ya.
