Cheeky #WhatImPlaying update for July 19th.

#AdvanceWars has taken up any and all of my #Gaming time this last two weeks. A deadly combination of absolutely loving the game and having a shiny new Retro handheld to play it on (RG477v). 

I finished the game last night. I cheated on the final mission because honestly, that was just too much for my stressed out brain to compute.

Next week? I'm hoping to start up #Denshattack on my Steamdeck. If that doesn't click then maybe it's time I hit up a #Soulslike. I've only played like one of them this year, and that was DLC for LiesOfP.

For anyone who's into #soulslike games (especially #DemonsSouls and the first #darksouls), go check out the free #Mouseward demo at https://store.steampowered.com/app/1188410/Mouseward. It streamlines some systems in neat and interesting ways while really nailing the feel of those earlier soulslikes.
I'm particularly fond of the way they handle the stamina system. It's only a couple of simple tweaks to the formula, but they add up to something really nice.

I can't get into *anything* at the moment. My PS5 and Series X have been sat dormant for months and my Steamdeck has turned into a #CloneHero machine.

I am spending a fair bit more time playing on the Anbernic though. I finished #SuperMarioLand2 the other day, and had a blast whilst doing so.

I'm wondering if maybe I should just accept that nothing is going to take right now and move my attention onto my big #LordOfTheRings re-read that I've got planned for next year?
