Trying to figure out where #WuchangFallenFeathers fits into my 'Souls/like ranked list' and honestly, I think this one has top-five potential.
There's an argument to be made that I had more fun with it than I did with my 2023 GOTY in #LiesOfP.
Hmmmm....
Alright fine. Wuchang climbs into the top five, knocking out #Bloodborne.
I will say, in #Bloodborne's defence, I need to re-play it because I had a lot going on at the time and I'm not sure I appreciated it as much as I should.
So there we have it. I aint playing another one of these until 2026. I've done #DarkSouls3, #TheFirstBersekerKhazan and now #WuchangFallenFeathers in 2025, and honestly, I'm exhausted.

I'm not sure how the wider community feels about this, but #DarkSouls3 might just be my favourite one of these games.
I'm having an absolute blast with it and it seems to fit perfectly into my wheelhouse of 'challenging but not frustrating'.

Tiedän nyt varmasti, mitä peliä suosittelen, jos pahin vihamieheni ikinä tulee kysymään multa pelisuositusta. Tänää oli nimittäin jo hyvin lähellä, että ohjain ois ajautunut sijaiskärsijäksi mun ja DS3:n dramaattisessa suhteessa 💔
Vakavasti ottaen: oon miettinyt paljon sitä, mikä saa ihmisen (minut) palaamaan mahdottomilta tuntuvien asioiden äärelle. Lukiossa itkin jos en päivittäin niin viikoittain pitkän matikan tehtäviä, kun en vaan ymmärtänyt ja se turhautti niin paljon. Olin kuitenkin päättänyt lukea sen loppuun, vaikka en matemaattisesti oo koskaan ollut erityisen lahjakas. "Tiesin" haluavani opiskelemaan psykologiaa, ja pitkästä matikasta sai silloin jonkin verran enemmän pisteitä haussa kuin lyhyestä. No, kuinkas sitten kävikään: päädyin opiskelemaan filosofian maisteriksi, pääaineena kirjallisuustiede - enkä silti kadu matikankursseihin upottamaani hikeä, verta ja kyyneleitä.
(Kirjoitin pitkästä matikasta lopulta M:n. Opettajani harmitteli, että ei jäänyt paljon E:stä, ja itse meinasin pyörtyä onnesta kun meni läpi 🤪)
Nyt tätä halvatun peliä (itkien, totta kai) hakatessani oon miettinyt, että miksi mä en vaan lopeta. Mitä ideaa on pelata peliä, joka on aivan liian vaikea mun taitoihin nähden, ja suurimman osan ajasta lähinnä ketuttaa? Mut siinä se koukku varmaan onkin: pienen pienessä mahdollisuudessa päästä todistamaan itelleni, että oon parempi kuin minä itseäni pidän. Kun oma minäkuva on rakentunut niin, että kokee olevansa aina vähän altavastaaja, huonompi ja alempi kuin muut, tarve päästä näyttämään ennen muuta itselleen on ihan valtava ja motivoi jatkamaan pään hakkaamista seinään.
(Tai sitten oon vaan koukussa adrenaliiniin. 🤪)
