Thinking ahead to #FolkloreWeek2023 theme found I’m reminded of my linocut for last year’s rebel theme, a favourite irrepressible mischievous hero of Chinese folklore, Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. His story is one of finding sources of immortality again and again! All this before his great Journey to the West to find and retrieve the Buddhist Sutras.
