Befreie gerade ein paar mehr meiner selbst gekauften Audible Hörbücher von ihrem Kopierschutz. Mit Hillfe von FFMPEG geht's vom geschützten AAX-Container ins freie MP3- und M4A-Format und danach auf meine Sicherungsplatte. Man sollte sich niemals auf die Cloud verlassen und immer lokale Backups erstellen! 😉

I just got this new game called "Grand Monster Slam" for the Commodore Amiga and, initially, I had some issues dumping the -copy protected- floppy disk.
Luckily, after some tinkering, I finally got it working using the WinUAE 6.0.1 emulator and a virtual Amiga A500. This actually looks pretty sweet! 😜

Thanks to a new upload by "lemonhead" and "Digitoxin", I could finally complete my personal floppy disk collection of the 1987 game "Larry Leisure Suit" for the IBM-PC, Version 1.0.

This game was copy protected, so it's always neat to have all kinds of disk image formats available. I just dumped and added my own TeleDisk image. It works!

Back in 1986 / '87, when I personally was still in Kindergarten, Two Guy from Andromeda created a fantastic graphic adventure game called "Space Quest". It became an instant hit and spawned several sequels.

After all this time, SimCity still is one of my favourite video games ever. And after all these years of collecting, I am still finding new stuff!

Today, I just came across a pristine copy protected disk image of SimCity v1.1 for the Amiga. That one will happily run the game without the need to get any codes from the manual. Also today, I found a slightly more modern version of the Terrain Editor documentation, where they removed the instructions for ATARI systems. "Imho" an interesting bit of gaming history!

Yep, I guess I'm a nerd. 😜

Well, considering this is my very first physical Amiga diskette with a full-on copy protection, everything went way better than expected. Easy peasy!

I managed to extract a perfect KryoFlux stream from the protected disk and its copy protection tracks! Also, the resulting "CT RAW" disk image plays perfectly fine in the latest WinUAE Amiga emulator. Great success! 😜

When it comes to my retro games collection, I am usually trying to find every variant and every available version of a game. Sometimes, this is pretty easy. For games like "Space Quest I - The Sarien Encounter", it is not.

I just added Version 2.2, Interpreter 2.426, 3.5" / 720K as a copy protected TeleDisk disk image. It works!

That's s so cool! I had always wanted to add "Krusty's Fun House" for MS-DOS to my retro collection. I've had the floppy disk for years (thanks flyers_80!), but I could never find the correct manual to answer all those pesky copy protection questions.

Tonight I found out, there's a beautiful PDF version of the correct manual within the current eXoDOS collection. All of a sudden, the problem is solved and I can finally play the game! Yay!

Found this in a drawer at my parent's apartment. Any guess as to which 1994/95 game (MS-DOS version) these copy protection codes are for? 🤡 🇬🇧

In the original these codes are in the back of the manual. The manual for the MS-DOS version doesn't seem to have been preserved online anywhere.

Edit: Technically the DOS version says 1995, while the Mega Drive version says 1994. Sources vary on which was the actual release date.
