Was ich an SimCity 2000 besonders schätze: Praktisch jede beliebige, billige SC2K CD-ROM für Windows enthält nebenbei auch eine komplette Fassung der DOS-Version mit allen Erweiterungen und Szenarien. Bei vielen anderen Spielen muss man die erst mühsam suchen.

Das Ganze läuft hier bei mir gerade einwandfrei in 86Box, PC-DOS 2000 und dem frisch installierten TEAC CD-ROM Treiber.

I just uploaded a complete disk set of "SimCity 2000 for Macintosh" to the Internet Archive. This game is from 1993. This one is really special, because I could finally include the untouched "Scenarios" disk, which I had never seen before.

I included complete KryoFlux streams, 300dpi scans, as well as 1440K / 800K Macintosh disk images. Have fun! 😃

Ich hatte diesen speziellen Datenträger im Grunde schon aufgegeben, aber nach der vorsichtigen Reinigung mit einem weichen, feuchten Tuch ließ sich anschließend alles wieder sauber auslesen. SimCity 2000 für den klassichen Macintosh. Hurrrahhh! 😃

Nice, LGR covered “SimCity Enhanced CD”, which is exactly the version I played in the 90s (except I had the German version). I agree that those video sequences are extremely cheesy and annoying, still I have some nostalgia for them.

I disagree with him on the 256-color graphics, though: to me, they look much nicer than in the original.
