Looks like LG is having bit of a #privacy disaster after adding a TOS clause about the user having to inform all their guests that their TV or monitor will listen in with its built-in microphone and it will be analyzed elsewhere.
I'm sure this will sell a lot of new TVs.
And in general, just unplug the smart TVs unless you really want to use their shitty build-in apps.

What is normally a 50 email per week box for me has jumped to over 1000 emails a week.

It looks like this TV is also glitching after 20 minutes or so of playing broadcast TV (at least on ITV). Audio is ok but the video gets stuck for a while and the glitches as it tries to catch up. I expect it's video decoding performance causing sync issue but being an integrated "smart" device it's almost certainly undebuggable.
It's the same issue you get on mobile phones etc. They slow down over the years and if you factory reset they feel like new again.
Another case of #enshittification.

My TVs DO NOT HAVE WIFI, nor do I ever plug a monitor or TV into my PC's USB. Talk about malware exposure.
