[P] I'm still so upset about this. I've always had issues with Godzilla, such as introducing the Manosphere concept of "Alpha" to the mythos. But Wingard took that to its worst conclusion. There's an eye-opening statistic about how many women get messed up the worst in Wingard's films. I'm just so glad that I'm not neuroenshittified—I can point at a monster and say monster. And I'm not pointing at a kaiju.

This truly *is* a fascinating site. I'm close enough to tech to understand how/why software has been enshittified, but I've long wondered why consumer brands seem to be getting worse. Feels like it's commonly a slow burn and almost imperceptible over time, but eventually I'm like "why does this brand that used to be good (or at least fine) suck now?”. #enshittification #worseonpurpose

Well, after Microsoft took over #Github, I created all new repos on #Gitlab. Then I created my most recent #FOSS repositories on #Codeberg in order to support an European service with less chance of #enshittification.

Now that Codeberg bans any #LLM contributions, I have to find a new location or move back to Gitlab. 😞

Edit: It's particular sad because I think that anything they assume for LLM-code could also be done wrong by humans. Therefore, I would not differ between human code and non-human code as long as the result complies with the standards.

Any suggestions for an alternative that doesn't include the effort of self-hosting a git service myself? 🤔

Der beste Weg, #Elektroschrott bzw. #Elektronikschrott zu vermeiden, ist es nicht nach Weiterverwendungsmöglichkeiten zu suchen. Sondern entsprechende Produkte gar nicht erst zu kaufen.

Manchmal merkt man es erst im Nachgang - aber man sollte daraus lernen. Viele Dinge mit enger Integration in Online-Dienste sind besonders anfällig für #Enshittification #verscheissifizierung, das sollte man generell vermeiden.

[P] I've been considering distro-hopping and, well, OpenSuse is off the list. The project openly supports AI slop art and they use it in the distro. And worse, they've been incredibly condescending, aggressive, and openly rude towarx anyone who raises an issue about AI slop—outright bullying them into silence. I remember Torvalds being pro-AI and how fucking quickly he walked that back once he understood the scale of slop.
