Aus "The Secret of Monkey Island"... Kann es sein, dass das eine Anspielung auf die Adventures von Sierra war? In Space Quest bin ich, wie ich mich erinnern kann, auch ziemlich oft gestorben. Und das sah dann immer ähnlich aus! 😉

Checking out the brand-new remaster of Space Quest IV for the Commodore Amiga. I downloaded the updated WHDLoad package earlier tonight, so I decided to give it a try. I have this running on my virtual A1200 using WinUAE.

Well, I gotta say, this does look quite a bit better than the original release from 1991! Just look at these beautiful colors!😃

Endlich komplett. Die ersten drei Teile von #SpaceQuest samt Auflösungsbuch von Data Becker :) . Auch noch in einem sehr schönen Zustand. #sq1 war eines der ersten Adventures die ich spielen durfte (noch in der Schule auf einen PC mit CGA Grafik)

Hier gibt's nun auch die heute Mittag frisch "digitalisierten" 360K 5 1/4 Zoll Disketten von Space Quest III. Auf der ersten Diskette musste ich leider ein paar Änderungen (resource.cfg aus 1994) bereinigen, hab aber der Vollständigkeit halber trotzdem alle ursprünglichen KryoFlux Streams mit hochgeladen.

Wie alte #Sierra Spiele schon 1984 mit #Vektorgrafik viel Speicherplatz gespart haben und wieso es trotzdem nicht ganz so einfach ist, die Grafiken auf moderner Hardware in höherer Auflösung zu rendern:

Back in 1986 / '87, when I personally was still in Kindergarten, Two Guy from Andromeda created a fantastic graphic adventure game called "Space Quest". It became an instant hit and spawned several sequels.

Here's the original "Space Quest - Chapter I - The Sarien Encounter", Version 1.2 for Commodore Amiga. Including full KryoFlux streams, CT RAW and ADF disk images. Have fun!

When it comes to my retro games collection, I am usually trying to find every variant and every available version of a game. Sometimes, this is pretty easy. For games like "Space Quest I - The Sarien Encounter", it is not.

I just added Version 2.2, Interpreter 2.426, 3.5" / 720K as a copy protected TeleDisk disk image. It works!
