After having tried a plethora of noise gates/noise supressors, DeNoise has left me profoundly impressed!
Couldn't recommend this one enough, it's even better than Analog Obsession's Dr. Gate.Very CPU-efficient, too (like many of Chris's plugins are)

@consint @openmastering Awesome job Samuel, excellent documentation and great insights into the #airwindows plugins, congrats and thanks! I agree, the gain staging is a challenge. However, in #Ardour you can add inline control of plugin parameters, I think that's much easier to handle. Right click on plugin => Controls => Cascade and there are your (mini)faders, without having to open the plugin.

@MyLoFy in the #airwindows console paradigm, you don't use your DAW faders but the AirWindows plugins for gain staging.
The console buss receiving the tracks expects unity gain in order to work best. -
I'm working on a template for #ardour 7 with the #airwindows console workflow. It sounds good and "analog" and I think that you'll like it. I'll release the template as soon as I'm finished documenting it.

Had some good progress on my LV2 port of the Airwindows audio plugins over the weekend. Some 25 new plugins ported.
The majority of the work has been to make a script to do most of the work, and that is beginning to bear fruit now. Hopefully I'll be able to continue with a bit more steady progress than what has been the case until now. Hop over to the repository if you want to test or contribute. And join the mailing list if you want to discuss or provide feedback. (You can also ping me here on the fediverse, of course.)
The relevant code and build files are in theplugins/LV2directory of the repo.
