A #collab I worked on with #ClassicalGuitarist Phil Weaver. I did all the non-guitar parts. I used #SampledAudio from an unspecified Hindu ceremony. Some is experimental #ElectricCello I improvised with intent to be "nightmarish". There is #VST cello as well that I composed. Ah, and rain sounds from my window. Gotta love a little Zoom mic.
I like to give compositions an emotional context, and sometimes a whole time-place backstory.
This was about "touch".

V sobotu jsme hráli na Brutalu, celkem brzo takže mi vyšlo si pak skočit na Satyricon. Kromě toho, že mi od té doby teda dost ztemněl playlist (Mgła!), tak čirou náhodou vyšel i krásnej novej open source VST synťák Galdr, kterej tímto mile rád šířím dál.

Free modular sound glitcher / mangler: a JUCE audio effect (VST3 / AU / Standalone) with MIDI input.
Mango is a rubber step sequencer of up to eight lanes, each driving one effect. You draw blocks on a lane's strip; while the playhead is inside a block, that lane's effect is processing; outside it, the lane is transparent. So you paint when each effect happens, in time with the host, and the lanes stack into a chain from top to bottom.

now we're starting to get somewhere.
i'm a sucker for a lightshow. that's kinda why i need that gnome screen blank extension i built.
starting to get a feel for where this wants to head. the living reverb itself is the main feature of the display. now i just need to organize those controls into better groups, and i think we'll be in the ballpark.
the lightshow is cool tho. glassmemphis also has a fun lightshow.

Ich kaufte also einst das LM2 #LoudnessMeter von #tcElectronic. Das ist ein Plugin, das leider sehr viel schlechter ist als die #x42meterCollection Plugins von @x42, aber es ist halt #VST für Windosen.
Lange Zeit vorher gründete ein Herr Behringer eine Firma Behringer. Später dann firmierte man mehrstufig um zu #MusicTribe, einer Firma mit Hauptsitz auf den Philippinen und schluckte unterwegs… Midas, Klark Teknik, Turbosound, Lab Gruppen, Tannoy, Aston Microphones, tc Electronic und einige mehr.
Ergebnis: Meine Zahlung, vermeintlich an die dänische Firma tcElectronic für ihre Software, geht an ein Paypal-Konto auf den Philippinen. Paypal informiert: „Der Empfänger dieser Zahlung hat sein Konto noch nicht verifiziert und befindet sich außerhalb der USA.“
Einen Beleg/Rechnung fürs Finanzamt stellt die philippinische Firma nicht aus.
Als ich mein Unternehmenchen gegründet hatte, dachte ich, es hätte was mit Tontechnik zu tun.
