Was listening to Naochika Sogabe's "Meditative Music on Arabic Oud - 'Mystic Valley'" video (link in comments) and decided to make a ringtone based off it. Hopefully this captures the peaceful vibes associated with the oud.
I should mention too this was edited in Kdenlive and Audacity.

Samstag - so mag ich mein Wochenende! Genüsslich ausschlafen (was eine knappe Stunde mehr Schlaf bedeutet), gemütlich frühstücken (was ein knappes Kilo mehr Hüfte bedeutet), nahtlos übergehen in ein oppulentes Mittagessen (was einen erheblich runderen Bauch bedeutet). Der Nachmittag gehört dann der schweren Arbeit der Verdauung und der multimedialen Beschäftigung. Mit Handy, Gimbal und viel Enthusiasmus erstelle ich kleine Clips mit Schallplatten, alten Tapetenbürsten und einem noch nicht so alten Plattenspieler. Es ist gar nicht so einfach, die Hände ruhig genug zu halten, dass der Zuschauer nicht zur Kotztüte greift!
Das Zusammenstellen der Clips in #Openshot und #audacity ist auch nicht gerade einfach, macht aber Spaß. Und am Ende steht ein nicht unbedingt perfekter, aber ganz netter Clip, mit dem ich meine Scheiben vorstellen kann. Für heute mag es genug sein. Aber ich denke mir da noch was aus!
#amEndedesTages lesen wir noch ein paar Zeilen im Licht der untergehenden Sonne, pflegen unsere kleinen, runden Bäuche und genießen das Bewusstsein, morgen noch einmal ausschlafen zu können.
Morgen gibt es nur einen Plan: Essen - dieses mal bei den Schwiegereltern. Das wird reichlich und lustig!

I've gotten a nice present with the recent version of audacity as presented in MX Linux my desktop distro of choice. The latest is version v3.7.7 just wait for the version the current one on in MX Linux is v3.7.5.

This version has new file format based features, which of course means the data files are not backward compatible

features since v3.6

• Master effects

• Audacity has master effects! Master effects are effects which apply to the entire project at once. More information can be found at Audacity Support: Using master effects & realtime effects.

• New compressor / limiter

• A new compressor and limiter have been added, replacing the previous versions.

• A gain reduction history has been added to these effects when they’re used as a realtime effect.

• Factory Presets suitable for a wide range of use cases for these effects have been provided by Vladislav Isaev and Marek Iwaszkiewicz, available via the Presets & Settings button.

• New themes

• Audacity has new and improved dark and light themes.

• switch between themes via Preferences -> Interface.

• The theme previously used still is around as Classic theme, and themes even older than that can be optionally installed as custom themes.

• Updated instructions on creating custom themes can be found here [link]

• Increased performance

• Audacity is now quite a bit snappier than before, especially when working on larger projects and on larger screens.

What I do is simply record past the rollover, do everything live, meaning make no mistakes and chop the project into pieces if something has to be edited in post production. It's an annoyance but it works

I currently have a project which is aimed at 120 hours. I will keep you posted on the bug

Ways of recording tried in SuperCollider

s.record
Pseq(....).record
Cutting and pasting from the DiskOut help file

*All* of them glitch. The audio is fine if I don't record, but is fucked up if I do.

Workaround:
If you set Audacity to be a jack device,
1. In Audacity, click on the record meter to enable silent monitoring
2. Boot the SC server.
3. In Audacity, click on audio setup (big icon in the middle of the top) and set the recording device to be supercollider. (You should not need to change pipewire or jack routing. Hopefully.)
4. I went to Audacity preferences and made sure the sample rate was the same as it is for SC, but I think this step is optional.
5. Click the record button in audacity
6. Tell your pattern to play
7. You should see Audacity drawing the wave form while you wait for the pattern to finish, or eventually stop the pattern manually.
8. Stop recording in Audacity.
9. Try to find a way to be less irritated, because this is actually super fucked up.

#LinuxMint kommt ja schon mit einer Auswahl an Programmen, mit denen man im Prinzip direkt anfangen kann zu arbeiten. Na ja, ein bisschen Einrichtung gehört wie immer schon dazu, will man die Programme nach seinen Vorlieben einrichten. Wer mehr will, muss manchmal aber auch suchen. Daher habe ich einmal eine Liste der Programme zusammengestellt, die ich auf meinem #iMac unter LinuxMint 22.3 installiert habe. Vielleicht hilft es ja jemandem.
Kann aber keine Garantie geben, dass die Programme alle funktionieren. Installation und Benutzung der Programme erfolgt auf eigene Verantwortung und Gefahr!

Daher habe ich einmal eine Liste der Programme zusammengestellt, die ich auf meinem #iMac unter LinuxMint 22.3 installiert habe. Vielleicht hilft es ja jemandem.

Hi everyone!! I would like some attention,, I finally made something I’ve been dreaming of doing for years. I made a radio station/podcast in the likes of GTA Vice City or Fallout New Vegas. It contains a lot of copyrighted material that I don’t have a license to, but I wanted someone to enjoy it anyway. And tell me if it’s decent.

#Audacity is a great audio editor package! I don't really edit audio, but sometimes I want to trim a file, or break one up into smaller files. Audacity can do so much, this is like lighting a cigarette with a flame-thrower. But that's the nice thing. I can just use it for 1% of its capability and if I need more, it's probably right there. Somewhere.

I have been back to experimenting with more 'experimental' electroacoustic pieces.

This one is entirely based on a ca. 6 second voice sample processed in various ways and building a somewhat 'sound-scaped' piece.

For this track I challenged myself to use exclusively #Audacity - It did indeed prove to be quite a challenge, but technical constraints can inspire some creativity (and some swearing..). A couple of non-Audacity (but #FLOSS) effects were used and #SoX for some final processing.

Wow, I haven't been on here since November. Where did time go?

Anyway, here's my latest musical experiment. I've been playing around with some microsound effects, specifically FM synthesis.
