  17. I wrote up some thoughts on Dualite, a stereo-aware audio plugin concept. Instead of treating stereo as a monolith, it gives each channel independent FX lanes and modular routing, with explicit dual vs mid/side modes. If you think about stereo processing more deeply than “one image,” this might resonate.

  24. @amadeus Did you know that the AstroLab is running the Arturia sound engines on on ARM? So if anyone is in a good position to release their plugins for Linux (Intel and ARM), it'd be Arturia... if they added Linux builds, I'd buy AnalogLab or even V Collection in an instant.

    But as I suspected, now we're seeing problems on Linux with JUCE 8. Need to do a bit of research and see what this error is about: "non-virtual thunk to juce::TableListBox::RowComp::paint()".

  34. How to lay out responsive UIs without CSS? Just cut up some rectangles!

    Have a mutable rectangle struct type with "removeFromX" methods, which:
    - shrink the original rectangle by a given length from the X (Top, Right, Bottom, Left) direction
    - return the sub-rectangle that was removed from the original rectangle

    I learned this pattern from the #JUCE framework and have been applying it everywhere ever since.
