• Top tier 128GB DDR4, gen 3 #Ryzen

Decent. 3-5k USD for 1 gen newer. An improvement but, it's a waste. **I'd rather wait then spend 2x as much on a current gen #Threadripper #workstation**

• Mini-ITX which has always intrigued me,
• E-ATX Ryzen 9950X3D2

All the i/o is m.2. They're buried under mobo heatsinks. I need PCI-E cards for #audioProduction, #ai acceleration. I'm fine w/RAID SATA III + USB storage

Fat #GPDPocket 5 w/replacable RAM & battery, MCIO, multi USB 4 & 3, BT6.2, WiFi 7, latest Ryzen ai 400-500, 512GB UFS4.1 for #Bazzite, [ #RetroGame OS], #UbuntuStudio, 100% sRGB, mech kb

After 14 years I installed Ubuntu on a PC again. Chose because I want to play music and use real-time guitar effects.
So far: kernel panics, broken updates, and hours wasted configuring my M-Audio sound card.
I was almost starting to regret it... 🫩
