Is there an open source log monitoring system that tells me useful stuff out of the box like whether something new has cropped up in a log that hasn't been seen before, a certain message has suddenly got a lot more frequent or a regular message has stopped? With today's ML I'm surprised I haven't come across something like that. Most tools look like they require you to craft your own queries manually, or the ones which tout 'AI' are expensive & closed.

Let's suppose that LLMs are powerful tools and are here to stay.
So are bulldozers and explosives and fentanyl.
My suggestion is that the use should be strictly controlled and licensed, and that certain professions must be completely excluded from interacting with LLMs on the job, and that in-school use should be strictly supervised and limited.
(Among those professions: politicians, bureaucrats, and police.)
Licensing should require a code of ethics, continuing education, and extensive, well-funded auditing with defined penalties up through expulsion and referral for criminal charges.

Needless to say, I've unbundled them in #Gentoo now. And I'm ashamed I didn't notice before. I really need to check everything for *.pem, *.crt, and whatever other suffix people come up with. Or perhaps do a more specific grep across all files.
