Greater #Thameslink #Railway (GTR) has highlighted improvements during its first 100 days under public ownership, following its transfer to DfT Operator Limited on 31 May.

Changes across its four networks include new signalling on the Thameslink core, a 69% fall in train crew-related cancellations since May, and plans for 75 additional drivers by the end of 2026.

Gatwick Express services were expanded over the summer, while automatic ticket acceptance was introduced across participating publicly owned operators. #Cambridge South station also opened, recording more than 110,100 journeys in its first month.

GTR has invested £3.6 million in cleaning trains and deployed 110 Travel Safe Officers. Other initiatives include Model Stations, airport #travel benefits and progress on the £1.4 billion East Coast Digital Programme.

GTR said improving reliability, customer experience and passenger trust remained priorities.
