¿Por qué nos creemos cualquier cosa?¿cómo podemos empezar a defendernos?
La verdad es que nos tragamos mentiras no por falta de inteligencia, sino por pura comodidad. Nuestro cerebro es perezoso por naturaleza y prefiere buscar atajos antes que hacer el esfuerzo de dudar, un fenómeno que conocemos bien en psicología como sesgo de confirmación. Cuando vemos una publicación o un titular que encaja perfectamente con lo que ya pensamos, con nuestros miedos o con nuestras posturas políticas, suspendemos el escepticismo de golpe porque es reconfortante sentir que tenemos la razón. Los algoritmos de las redes sociales privativas explotan esta vulnerabilidad a la perfección, distribuyendo contenido diseñado para indignar o asombrar porque saben que la emoción vende y se comparte mucho más rápido que un dato frío, verificado y aburrido. El problema es que en este entorno digital cualquiera puede ponerse el disfraz de medio o comunicador serio, y la repetición masiva de una mentira en nuestras pantallas termina generando una falsa ilusión de verdad.
Para no ser marionetas de lo que circula en la red, existen pasos sencillos que cualquiera puede y debe activar antes de dar un dato por bueno. Lo primero es rastrear el origen de la información y buscar la fuente primaria, ya que una captura de pantalla de un tuit o un video en TikTok no son pruebas de nada. También es clave mirar quién firma la información, revisando si esa persona tiene trayectoria en el tema o si es un perfil anónimo creado hace dos días. Todo dato real deja una huella que se puede contrastar, por lo que siempre debemos hacer una verificación cruzada buscando el hecho en agencias de noticias internacionales o medios con comités editoriales estrictos. Por último, hay que inspeccionar la evidencia del texto, como enlaces a documentos oficiales o datos científicos, y apoyarse en la tecnología usando la búsqueda inversa de imágenes en buscadores para descubrir si una foto es vieja, si fue tomada en otro país o si está manipulada de forma artificial.

Planned to go to a zine fest for queer people of the global majority and I had been planning to go since earlier this year, made a zine to share that I have not shared before but got dragged out to see my brother who is moving abroad because I am a bad guy if I don't suddenly change my plans to go. He spent most of the time cussing me out for being chronically ill, cussed me out for needing to be on a treatment that makes me ill, cussed me out for having to be on a treatment for the rest of my life that increases the probability of cancer and cussed me out because I'm dealing with discrimination at work because I'm chronically ill. I mean he did ask, am I meant to just say that I am magically cured when there is no cure?
I guess I'll just go and die then.
That zine fest is over so I have to wait to see if they bring it back next year.
I'm off to take myself to an art shop to get lost there. I can make some more zones that I won't get to share. That'll surely cheer me up. 🫠

La presidente Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo señaló un posible sesgo de machismo contra Guadalupe Taddei Zavala, quien anunció que este lunes 26 de octubre presentará su renuncia a la presidencia del Instituto Nacional Electoral (INE), en medio de señalamientos sobre presuntas irregularidades en contrataciones del organismo.

La salida anunciada ocurre mientras la Auditoría Superior de la Federación (ASF) investiga posibles anomalías en procesos de contratación, conflictos de interés y una presunta triangulación de recursos relacionados con proveedores del instituto. Hasta el momento, los señalamientos no equivalen a una determinación judicial de responsabilidad.
El caso adquiere relevancia porque el INE organiza el proceso electoral federal 2026-2027, por lo que el esclarecimiento de las acusaciones y la continuidad de sus funciones resultan centrales para la confianza pública en la autoridad electoral.
Sheinbaum pide evitar sesgos
La discusión sobre un posible componente de machismo en las críticas contra Taddei se produce en medio de cuestionamientos públicos por su presunta cercanía con un empresario relacionado con proveedores del INE. Las acusaciones deben examinarse con evidencia y mediante los procedimientos institucionales correspondientes.

La posición del Ejecutivo federal combina el llamado a investigar las presuntas irregularidades con la necesidad de evitar sospechas sobre una institución responsable de organizar las elecciones. La revisión de posibles sesgos de género no sustituye la investigación de los hechos denunciados.

Taddei comunicó que presentará formalmente su renuncia ante la Cámara de Diputados este lunes 26 de octubre. Explicó que su decisión responde a la importancia de proteger al INE y permitir que continúe con sus responsabilidades constitucionales.

La consejera presidenta también sostuvo que su salida no exime a ninguna persona de esclarecer los hechos que deban investigarse. Defendió que las denuncias se examinen con transparencia, rigor y respeto al debido proceso.
