I'm continuing my long, slow playthrough of #FFXIV and have just finished the main MSQ for #Stormblood. Really enjoyed it on the whole... The story-telling felt snappy and quick coming back from #GenshinImpact, and there were some interesting action quests among the "go here, talk to this guy" quests.
I didn't like the enforced social raid at the end, but it was fine as a black mage.
Looking forward to #Shadowbringers now (after the in-between quests).

I'm a bit off my game for immune system reasons (get vaccinated! it's worth it!), but not so bad as to miss stream. This week we undergo the Gauntlet of Shar!

I'm finally starting to feel I've recovered from the pneumonia and complications of it that mean I've missed out on loads of events this year but also not been able to work. I'm only just getting back up to steam but still forcing myself not to push too hard.
I hate to ask but if you feel I've done anything to help or inspire any of you over the years and you can buy me a beer, coffee, or whatever virtual equivalent you're comfortable with it'd be very gratefully received.
Things were tight before the illness but I had just brought in a new contract that gave me hope to carry on the company, they've been patient and waited for me to get healthy but it's still going to take a while for invoices to come in over the next few months.
Anything would be appreciated, but don't put yourself out on my account as I know I'm far from the only on struggling.

I'm not sure claiming "everything is on fire" is the correct takeaway here
There is a pile of flammable materials we've been ignoring for decades. It catches on fire sometimes. It caught on fire a lot this week
And the people who put out the fires, for free, put the fire out again
The current plan is to just keep throwing more oily rags on the pile. We could try to help the volunteers, but that costs more than adding oily rags to the pile

I'm hoping that the Harlequins get their first win in the English Prem Rugby this afternoon. It is the London derby between the Harlequins and Saracens, it is dry, after a lot of rain, but still quite windy.

I'm also trying to figure out how I can incorporate a camping table with a built-in sink that I already have into a wet lapidary production area. My new trim saw arrives tomorrow and I want a water-friendly home for it. My brain is telling me to build a wheeled platform for the camping table to stand on so I can easily move it around the garage. I think I have enough spare wheels to get the job done.🤔 (2/2)

I'm going to do some aerobics and step exercises while I watch this AM football game, but Sunday is (mostly) a rest day.
Gotta love rest day. No rushing off to the gym and back, just waking up and walking the dogs, then filling myself up with coffee.

Дані KPMG M&A Radar.

I'm starting to understand the wail from the women in my life who have said "I haven't got anything to wear"
As a bloke you just throw on whatever is clean and nearest. But dressing mindfully (with boobs) it's important to take care of what you look like and that your clothes go together and look right.
I had a "I've not got anything to wear" moment earlier!

I'm not the greatest poet, but this scene seems to demand it.
Between the peaks where cold winds sleep
The green moss softens stones of grey,
And quiet lays its gentle hand
Upon the valley's rugged way.And I, who came with restless feet,
Am stilled as all the land is still,
And learn from mountains, moss, and stone
The patience of the hills.Fjarðardalur leading to Mjóifjörður in the Eastfjords of Iceland.

I'm starting to think I've spent too many years in the JVM/backend space along with newer server side languages like go/rust/odin, and whilst I've done plenty of rest API stuff, the JavaScript/UI side has lacked (bring on HTMX/DataStar!) and that seems to limit my #jobsearch options.
I'd rather learn .NET than JS - but even the C# roles all seem to want "full stack with react".
