Seriously don't use #LM741 op amps in your circuits -
At least the single rail #opamp #oscillator circuit works with these counterfeit chips. Maybe I'll turn them all into #LED blinkies and Schmitt triggers.

#Fake operational transconductance amplifiers I bought on #EBay over 6 years ago. Date code doesn't make sense given that Intersil discontinued the #CA3080 over a decade ago. The real chip should have a diode across pins 4 and 5. Only one chip seems to have it -- but it is reversed. The rest have resistors between pins 1 and 4, and between 4 and 5, consistent with an op amp that provides offset null pins. Pin 8 also seems to be connected. Both 1 and 8 should be NC.

[Yannic Kilcher] calls out the not-at-all-open #OpenAI
https://youtu.be/2zW33LfffPc?t=16m0s
He describes their #TechnicalReport as being more like an advert, and asserts that they can no longer claim to be an #AI research group, democratising the technology, or for the benefit of humanity. -

Unfortunately it's a trade secret how much computing power they used to train it. So much for open AI

"they're just not going to tell us the model size, the parameter count, the hardware they used, the training method, or anything like that"

Wonder if any of the space exploration science communicators on YouTube, Tiktok, etc will be using the recent Voyager 2 news to talk about the Phobos missions and in particular how Soviet ground control sent a suicidal command sequence that brought the Phobos-1 mission to a premature end

"The End"
And that concludes my #genuary for this year #genuary2025
My third so far
In my first Genuary back in 2023, for the last day #genuary31 I recall doing something similar where the prompt said "Deliberately break one of your previous images, take one of your previous works and ruin it."

The #bbc_iplayer feed seems to be 1 minute delayed behind the #Freeview feed which was itself delayed with respect to analogue TV back when they were still being transmitted.
Gone are the days when I would hear simultaneous yells emanating from open windows as I walk outside avoiding watching major sporting events.
Wonder if I can figure out what service people are tuned into based on the delay.

I found what looks like the coax connection to the TV aerial on the roof. It was hidden away inside a bedroom closet. Might be able to pick up a few #FreeView channels. Is there anything on that's worth watching live?
There's also the remnants of a #Cat5 ethernet cable embedded in a hole in the wall.

The driver board for the JOY decoration is an #arduino nano and a very hastily soldered together protoboard circuit for doing experiments with #Mozzi, #MIDI, and control voltages. I didn't have time to fully test it before driving over to my brother's place where I lack the tools to fix any issues. Amazingly I've found just one badly bodged switch to be the only mistake on the board.

I do have a 1N5822 Schottky
Comparing datasheets
SK26 60V 2A
1N5822 40V 3AThe voltages on this side of the switch mode power supply are not expected to be much higher than 12V DC. This wall wort is rated at 600mA 7.2VA. The electrolytic caps are only rated up to 16V
Will it work?

Same here. BASIC programs were the only info I ever had on biorhythms. Never realised that there was a cult-like craze surrounding it and until decades later
