@Techaltar @tiltfive is an augmented reality system, that can be played with multiple players without being completely alienated from your physically neighbouring friends and surrounding environment.
I do not know how you can try it out.You can buy it from their website I guess, or if you do not have the funding maybe contact the #TiltFive company for a temporary test model for review...? 🤷

People criticize VR and AR for basically shielding your face a lot, and using a lot of energy.
But don't hear anything about #tiltfive unless i look for it. Still obscures your eyes a lot of course, but still seems less than many alternatives. Uses less power. You only see the VR where you see retroflection. So the real world gets precedence by the optics of it.
And has a C interface now apparently.

A fair chunk of my consulting is spent with investors who want to understand the roadmap, enablers and blockers for XR (honoring all NDAs).
I tell them the same thing I told Sky News yesterday: this is going to take time to get right. Anyone rushing in to make a quick buck is foolish. Anyone rushing out is also foolish.
Look at the stuff that already works today, like #TiltFive *. Look at the use cases that will only grow. Start there. Focus on the value add.
