  5. CW: Mentions Sex and Strangulation

    @BryanGreyson

This is just part of a long line of UK porn bans attempting to outlaw bdsm: first one I remember was the Conservative Party banning face sitting porn and some other stuff about 13y ago.

Then Labour banned strangulation porn recently saying "there is no safe way to strangle someone" referring to the safer erotic strangulation which is basically just pushing down on a main artery to lower blood flow to the brain to increase pleasure. They argued that lowering blood flow to the brain is unsafe

But there has to be something wrong with you to compare careful and deliberate consensual sex acts to increase pleasure with literally stopping someone breathing as part of a power fantasy that you could kill them

  6. CW: Mentions sex

Even if the United Kingdom Green Party wins the parliament majority they will not reverse the porn bans on face sitting strangulation and the upcoming ban on incest role play.

These are bans that were pushed by both the Conservative Party and the Labour Party, and even if the Green MP sentiment was to unban them I doubt any of them would dare table a motion to do so because kinks are taboo and most wouldn't talk about this failure because sex is taboo.

And why are sex and kinks taboo in this country? Largely due to christianity.

In that spirit the following phrases when used as insults/negative adjectives & adverbs contribute to sex negativity and uphold the taboo:
•Fuck and its derivatives like Go Fuck Yourself (Happily, I will)
    •Blow/Suck
    •Dick and derivatives like Dickhead
    •Pussy
    •Jerk-Off

Let me know if I missed any I'll consider adding them

As always everything I post is an invitation to debate I just realised I've never said that explicitly

  7. Jeremy Corbyn, on the other hand, was kicked out of the Labour party for supporting Palestine/being against genocide. If you're doing business with a pedophilic human trafficker that's fine, but if you're supporting human rights then that's absolutely objectionable in the eyes of the #UKLabourParty

  8. So let me get this straight, Jeremy Corbyn can be kicked out of the Labour Party for supposed anti-Semitism, but Peter Mandelson, not only did not get kicked out of the labor Party, is in the House of Lords. There's actual receipts of the guy's corruption, but that's okay. #ukpolitics #uklabourparty

  9. Clueless Kier is doing some rearranging. Yet he has failed to remove the #1 Numpty, the Cabinet Clown, the absolute idiot that is Ed Miliband.

Giving the genocide loving Yvette Cooper the Foreign Sec position was/is atrocious but leaving the utter twonk Miliband to continue his nonsensical policies is gob-smacking.

  17. CW: UK politics, Labour, transphobia

Not a great week so far for trans people in the UK

On Monday, shadow minister for women and equalities Anneliese Dodds MP used an opinion column in the Guardian to announce Labour’s new stance on gender recognition reform, hugely weakened from the kind of reform they supported in Scotland last year: theguardian.com/commentisfree/

Indeed, Dodds had the gall to say that the Scottish Government’s reform bill – which was supported by most Labour MSPs and would have become law had Westminster not blocked it – was ‘cavalier’ and ‘more about picking a fight with Westminster than bringing about meaningful change’! Seriously?!

On Tuesday, ‘gender-critical’ ‘feminist’ Rosie Duffield MP unsurprisingly lent support to the new proposals, which she says are ‘going in the right direction’ for ‘biological women’: theguardian.com/politics/live/

And today (Wednesday), leader of the opposition Keir Starmer MP said:

‘Firstly, a woman is an adult female, so let’s clear that one up …

[You mean, adult female *human being*, or are female butterflies also women?]

‘We don’t think that self-identification is the right way forward. We’ve reflected on what happened in Scotland …

[Rather, what happened *to* Scotland, when the UK government blocked competent legislation without warning]

‘We’ve set out that we want to modernise the process, get rid of some of the indignities in the process, keep it a medical process.

[*Some* of the indignities. Nice /s]

‘We’ve always said, I’ve continued to say, and Sunday, when we completed our policy forum, allowed us to be clear that there should be safe places, safe spaces, for women, particularly in relation to violence against women and girls.’

    [So what?]

Starmer lacks the positive values and qualities of his predecessor

On trans rights as on so many other issues, he’d rather tread lightly for fear of actually being seen to *oppose* the Tory government’s horrific agenda
