    CW: Mentions Sex and Strangulation

    @BryanGreyson

This is just part of a long line of UK porn bans attempting to outlaw bdsm: first one I remember was the Conservative Party banning face sitting porn and some other stuff about 13y ago.

Then Labour banned strangulation porn recently saying "there is no safe way to strangle someone" referring to the safer erotic strangulation which is basically just pushing down on a main artery to lower blood flow to the brain to increase pleasure. They argued that lowering blood flow to the brain is unsafe

But there has to be something wrong with you to compare careful and deliberate consensual sex acts to increase pleasure with literally stopping someone breathing as part of a power fantasy that you could kill them

    CW: Mentions sex

Even if the United Kingdom Green Party wins the parliament majority they will not reverse the porn bans on face sitting strangulation and the upcoming ban on incest role play.

These are bans that were pushed by both the Conservative Party and the Labour Party, and even if the Green MP sentiment was to unban them I doubt any of them would dare table a motion to do so because kinks are taboo and most wouldn't talk about this failure because sex is taboo.

And why are sex and kinks taboo in this country? Largely due to christianity.

In that spirit the following phrases when used as insults/negative adjectives & adverbs contribute to sex negativity and uphold the taboo:
•Fuck and its derivatives like Go Fuck Yourself (Happily, I will)
    •Blow/Suck
    •Dick and derivatives like Dickhead
    •Pussy
    •Jerk-Off
    •Slut/Tart/Whore

Let me know if I missed any I'll consider adding them

As always everything I post is an invitation to debate I just realised I've never said that explicitly

Republicans love banning porn and sex work because they like controlling women, and Democrats love it because they like rescuing them. Is there much of a difference if it amounts to the same thing? #porncensorship #sexworkers

My earliest experiences with online porn didn't make me horny, and they didn't make me kinky. I was both of those things already. #porncensorship #kinkcommunity

When the OSA's predecessor came into effect in 2014, I was the only UK spanking site owner they targeted. Losing my business for a year and having to beg the civil service not to dox me was traumatic. #onlinesafetyact #porncensorship

Navigating the new OSA as a small, independent porn publisher has been an experience in stress, uncertainty and lack of clarity from start to finish. #porncensorship #onlinesafetyact

I've spent years campaigning against age verification in the Digital Economy Act only to have it rear its ugly head right back up in the OSA. But I won't be defeated; I've found a solution that works for me, my users and the letter of the law. #porncensorship #diversityinporn

I'm complying with the regulations laid out in the OSA, but I'm doing it in a way that aligns with my values - and with the values of my customers - as much as possible. #onlinesafetyact #porncensorship

The OSA is bad for accessibility, bad for privacy, and bad for sex workers - and it doesn't even fulfil its intended purpose. #porncensorship #onlinesafetyact

The dust is settling on the OSA and I'm still trying to figure out what it means in the longer term, both for myself and for the wider industry. #ageverification #porncensorship

Imagine, if you will, that the high-heeled dominatrix in this image is the Online Safety Act, and the attractively trampled enby is all the sexy website owners trying to figure out what the heck to do about it. #onlinesafetyact #ageverification #porncensorship

I've been going through some of our recent releases looking for SFW images - but what does 'SFW' actually mean, and how is the OSA really supposed to protect anyone anyway? #sexworkers #porncensorship

When Victorian archaeologists found brothels with well-preserved wall paintings depicting different sex acts in the ruins of Pompeii, how did they respond - and are the pornographic moralists of today any better? #porncensorship #queerhistory
