You know what really bugs me about Eru Iluvatar?
This mf knew Sauron was setting the Numenoreans up to get their asses kicked sailing west. But instead of having all the smoke for Sauron like a real G, he only shows up to whoop ass on the victims of deception.
...typical god.

Beside the need for 'good' Elvish Fonts, an Atlas of Middle-earth is also urgently needed but that will demand a lot of explanation.
Tolkien did a lot of maps but none were 'scientific' and if he often cared about details, the 'bigger picture' was much less important.
He did only 1 map of the island of Númenor. And (on purpose) Tolkien never set it on a large map with Middle-earth. So we do not know were Númenor was precisely.

Also reading the #manga The Count of Monte Cristo. I’m reading the large print #Tolkien book The Fall of #Numenor, and Obverse Books Black Archive book about the recentish Flux series of #DoctorWho stories. And finally I’m still reading and enjoying John Green’s The Anthropocene Reviewed. #books #reading #fiction #NonFiction

Halfway through Rings of Power, which we are both enjoying. But it’s fair to say the last two episodes have made me want to see a series solely telling the story of Numenor. And I’m not a huge fan of the often dark and gloomy scenes in the Southlands. Interesting storytelling, but so dark and gloomy I am peering at the telly, struggling to see the details. There is some very good acting in this though, which I definitely appreciate.
