So I picked #Millennia during the #SteamSale, and I'm really impressed. It innovates on the #Civilization formula in ways that are mechanically interesting and fun. The biggest one is ability to enter alternate history "ages" that mix up the game rules. So far, my poor sanitation plunged the world into an Age of Plague that killed huge amounts of the population and forced all nations to devote resources to stemming the tide of the disease.

The new DLC "Atomic Ambitions" for #Millennia is now available.
It adds an atomic age, as an alternative age similar to the Fallout settings, and also a wasteland age, which is a postapocalyptic age.
Oh, and there are nukes.

Another update for #Millennia has been published. This update is called the multiplayer update, as the biggest changes concern multiplayer. This includes that we now get simultaneous turns, although they are not completely final yet. Other important changes include that the AI was improved to deal better with water (units, buildings, etc), you can now play beyond the end of the game, and a new default civ was added. The reviews are so far rather positive, with e.g. PCGamesN calling it "Overwhelming and enveloping, Oxide and Microsoft's strategy game #Ara: History Untold will steal hundreds of hours from you if you let it." It seems if you have played #OldWorld, #Humankind and #Millennia, and you now want another fix until #Civ7, then you should probably try it out.

@73CC in principle we try to cover everything what a civ-fan could find interesting.
So we also post the updates for #Humankind, #OldWorld #Millennia and #Ara, and other interesting things, like recently the #Taction, the #stopkillinggames petition and random historical blurbs too.This will probably decrease the more #Civ7 content we get, but we'll see :).

The #Paradox community manager Katten has dropped by at CivFanatics to announce the release of the new DLC for #Millennia, called "Ancient Worlds". The DLC focuses on prehistoric times, and adds quite some features in this era. You can now start with a nomadic band instead of your first city (so like in Civ), you get ancinet megafauna such as Mastodons, an ice age start, new starting govermentsand new land marks.
The DLC costs 9.99.

The #Millennia community manager Katten has dropped by to announce the new DLC “Ancient Worlds”, which will be released on August 12, together with the next update!
The DLC will bring new neat features like a quick start, and will focus (clearly) on the early parts of human history. You will get the option to start with a settler instead of a city, you get an ice age start, with icy terrain, ice age megafauna such as mammoths, and a new national spirit.

The second of the scheduled updates for #Millennia has been released. In this update the devs bring us new options for hot seat multiplayer, new indicators for unrest, a better overview over some unit stats, made the remapping of keys possible, expanded the nation builder functionality, and a bunch of other things as well.

The devs of #Millennia have given us another update, and are talking also about the future of the game. The roadmap lines out that we can expect at least another 5 updates this year, together with 2 new DLCs. For the current update, the devs have added some nice options, like disabling the combat screen, skipping the combat animations, being able to destroy your own vassals, and a range of other big and small changes.
