Language use that really bothers me: Calling a bunch of armed thugs "settlers".
Every kid playing Civilization knows settlers are unarmed units that can found a city on unclaimed land only.
Just call those other ones thugs?

The good people over at TurnBasedLovers have put together a list of the highest grossing turn-based games https://turnbasedlovers.com/lists/top-10-highest-grossing-turn-based-rpgs-and-strategy-games-of-all-time/ , no matter if strategy or RPG.
Unsurprisingly, this also does include some Civ titles, with #Civ5 coming 4th, and #Civ6 comin g 2nd.
The list claims that Civ5 brought in $179 million on Steam, and Civ6 $358 million on Steam.
They guys put together the list themself, and they don't cite their sources, so it's unclear how reliable these numbers are. The Baltimore Banner has just before Christmas ran a title called "How Baltimore County became a hidden world of video game companies".
As many of you know, Baltimore is the home to our most important gaming studio, Firaxis, but not only that. Its predecessor, Microprose, was also situated in Baltimore, and more recently also many things have happened there. Firaxis personnel has spawnd other studios like "Big Huge Games", which were responsible for "Rise of Nations", and very recently Oxide Games, which has developed "Ara: History Untold". And we don't know yet what games will come from 2 other studious founded by Firaxis employees, Bit Reactor and Midsummer Studios.
