  1. Vineyard Gazette: BioBlitz is a Competitive Creature Feature. “Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket have each conducted individual bioblitz’s in summers past, but when Sarah Bois of the Linda Loring Nature Foundation on Nantucket proposed an inter-Island event, members of the Vineyard’s BiodiversityWorks agreed that some healthy competition could go a long way.”

  4. Hype for the Future 66B: Middle Cape

Introduction Situated to the south of the Outer Cape and Lower Cape areas is the Middle Cape area, representative of the portion of Barnstable County closest to Nantucket Island and containing Monomoy Point at the southern end. The area is home to the Towns of Orleans, Chatham, Harwich, and Brewster, though the Town of Orleans has been featured in a separate article along with the Towns of Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, and Eastham, from north to south. Though the Monomoy Islands are […]

  5. Hype for the Future 65C: Martha’s Vineyard, the Island of Dukes County

Introduction While the Elizabeth Islands that separate the Buzzards Bay from the Vineyard Sound are located off the coast of the Woods Hole area and contain the Town of Gosnold, the vast majority of the approximately seventy (70) permanent residents are exclusively within the area of the village of Cuttyhunk on Cuttyhunk Island specifically, as the remaining islands are largely identified as privately owned by the Boston Brahmin Forbes family. The vast majority of Dukes County, […]

  6. On the Horizon 25C: The Town of Gosnold, Massachusetts

The Town of Gosnold, Massachusetts, is located on the Elizabeth Islands, all of which are claimed by Dukes County, and all but two of which are also claimed by the Boston Brahmins by way of the Forbes family. Cuttyhunk Island is home to the vast majority of the approximately seventy people of the Town of Gosnold, the smallest of the towns of Massachusetts.

  7. Seperated By Space & Time

Several years ago I randomly discovered these two images, one a photo from 1973, the other a painting from around 2009. I was struck by the similarity of the two men separated by space + time!

The photograph of the young man leaning against a houseboat was taken by UK Photographer lan McDonald in Middlesbrough.

The painting is by Martha's Vineyard resident Heather Neill. Titled The Bogcutter it is a portrait of the artist's son!

  9. Epstein buddy Alan Dershowitz is refused service because of his reputation by a 'pop-up' food stall, he spread the usual malicious lies and slander that he is know for, and the local community stand with the Pierogi stall (and now I want a pierogi)
