Alpha-gal syndrome, an allergic reaction to red meat and even dairy products spread by ticks sounds like mother nature's revenge on behalf of non-human mammals. And if you're not a vegan just one more reason to avoid tick bites especially in the Eastern US - although this problem is spreading and has been found worldwide except Antarctica.
