  1. 📅 This Day in History – Sept 18, 1931
Japan staged the Mukden Incident, blowing up their own railway and blaming China—launching the invasion of Manchuria.

False flags like Mukden aren’t rare.
    They’re routine.

Ems Dispatch. Reichstag Fire. Gleiwitz. Winter War. Northwoods. Lavon Affair. Tonkin. Iraq. Again and again.

    So I wrote a poem.

  8. About a century ago, Imperial Japan seized the land of Northeast China from Chinese farmers and sent many Japanese settlers there.

My granduncle was one of the settlers. He had believed the propaganda of the Imperial Japanese government. In actuality, human rights, the esteem of racial diversity, and equality, as the government had said, were lies.

You are an invader in there.
Your farm was where someone was once removed by force. It's not surprising; people still do it today.

However, 15th August 1945 will eventually arrive.

What would you do to survive there?
    --
Now I'm planning to translate my granduncle's memoir. Yes, he was wrong, but his writing has the worth to tell in/after 2025.

  12. Highly 💯 recommended read: A recap of Northeast Asia’s unresolved conflicts of the past, now rearing their ugly head

This would be a great intro *before* any North Asian 101, with some cheeky entertaining bits as well... 🤓

“For starters, we can blame the Manchurians for invading China, the Uighurs, Mongolia, Tibet and Taiwan, calling it the Qing Dynasty and moving their emperor to Beijing, which was more centrally located and had a better nightlife.” 😁

“[Kuomintang] eventually succeeded, and established the Republic of China (ROC). Once in power, they changed their minds and claimed that “China” meant the entirety of the Qing Empire, which makes about as much sense as the Turks claiming the entirety of the Ottoman Empire.” 🔥

Unless the Russian 🇷🇺 Federation dissolved, China 🇨🇳 would not seize back #Manchuria as Russia 🇷🇺 has nuclear ☢️ missiles.

Didn't know that #Kissinger was involved in that piece of #Bastardry.

Now wondering if with-holding of many of US government documents for many decades was because of Kissinger having been involved and still alive.

I see that the linked article was cited a book that implicated #NewZealand in #WestPapua.
Knew that #Australia had, again as it had following WWI where it let #Japan keep control of #Manchuria, taken the easy path in West Papua "plebiscite".

  31. I’ve referenced my #Manchuria scenario before, but as the mighty Denys made some reference to China, I’ll give some details.

    en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russia

The way dictatorships like to show they are strong is with conquest. It’s also always good to have a foreign enemy if your youth is suffering from domestic unemployment.

Obviously with Putin. Less obvious is China, who is conquestually frustrated (yes I did just coin that), with #Taiwan. The island is armed to the teeth, across a large ocean of water (and China’s navy is weak for its size) and it’s backed by the USA. The economic fall out alone may tip the domestic market into revolution. “Not worth the squeeze” as some people say, as designed by the brave and clever people of the USA 🇺🇸.

China is looking North, see picture.

My China 🇨🇳 Russia 🇷🇺 oil friendship prediction came true. Although fairly obvious. China has no interest in getting entangled in the war and is very comfortable just saying what Russia wants to hear. China just wants oil powered growth.

The West also gets lower prices as Chinese demand is pulled from Western markets. This allows less dependence on Russia so Europe can use less. It shows that globalism is inherently stable, this is just a big shuffle, Russia and China are co-dependant.

I’m not worried about China impacting the #Ukraine as it still needs to sell into Western markets.

  32. If #Prigozhin takes #Moscow, he will be entering a popularity contest. The easiest way to win that is to call all the troops home and return/save all the sons. There is no point in wasting #Ukraine lives so they will only be risked on targets of opportunity. Ukraine will largely hold for now.

Under this scenario, #Chechnya forces will ask for independence and will be granted by Prigozhin, as it makes them not #Russia and therefore not a threat.

This would also open the door to #China taking #Manchuria and following that #Japan claiming their islands back.🏝️ #Taiwan will then also get a break and #China #US relations will improve, as will the global economy.

We are looking at a hell of a cascade here.
