The Blohm & Voss Ha 140 was a German multi-purpose seaplane first flown in 1937. It was intended for use as a torpedo bomber or long-range reconnaissance aircraft, but did not enter production.
Three prototypes were built and the design beat the competing Heinkel He 115. However, by then B&V did not have enough spare capacity and declined the order, which went to Heinkel instead.

First flying on 28 December 1933, the Loire 70 was a long-range maritime reconnaissance flying boat designed for the French Navy. Seven production aircraft were ordered and along with the prototype served with Escadrille E7 at Karouba in Tunisia. The Bloch MB.134 bomber made its maiden flight on 22 July 1939. A landing accident on 21 April 1940 resulted in seriously damage when a landing gear strut collapsed following the in-flight failure of a hydraulic fluid reservoir.
