Some more shots of the Howard 500 I saw at the Stead Airport north of Reno, Nevada. It had been moved out of the way for fire tanker operations. The plane is one of two airworthy Howard's. It's a post-WWII conversion of a Lockheed Ventura (B-34) bomber to an executive aircraft. Those old Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radials have a couple of oil leaks...
