So today’s #XPlane practice flight was KEUG-KDLS (The Dalles Airport in the Columbia Gorge) IFR in RW WX. The small graph below is showing now that I found out you can add the icing dataset to the screen. The Gorge is always turbulent and windy, and this flight was no exception. It was a very hairy X-wind landing on RWY 31, wind 19G35 at 325.

Also found out how to advance my ground speed in cruise 8X to shorten time on long legs.

Flew my first serious IFR approach tonight in a LONG time in the #XPlane #flightsim. Used my trusty #Piper Arrow which I punched up to 235HP so it performs just like the #Cherokee 235 I owned.

Flew the ILS16L approach into KEUG (my home field) to minimums, Garmin GPS nailed the approach. My old 235 did not have a decent autopilot, which I believe is mandatory for IFR flying.

Decided to top her off before putting Nine-Two Kilo back in the barn.
