Whelp, my Juicebox EV charging station has been cut loose. No more software or hardware support for US customers.

Juicebox residential charging stations were incredibly popular in the US. They were manufactured by eMotorWerks (a California company) starting back in 2013. eMotorWerks were acquired by Enel in 2022 and it has been a slow but steady slide into #enshitification since then.

Having a rethink about the way I manage my online photos.
Juicebox is a great application, and I really like the way it presents photos, however:
- I can’t manage galleries from my tablet, uploading and managing requires laptop/desktop.
- The galleries are static and require a rebuild if new photos are added.

I’m looking at Flickr again, linking and embedding.
- all coding can be done on a tablet.
- dynamic galleries: no need to rebuild for additional photos.

Oddly, my #EnelX #JuiceBox seems to have decided to completely ignore the TOU times I set and just charges immediately I connect it up.

Hoping this is a software issue and not related to replacement relay board I needed to fit a while back.

Uh oh, that’s not good. The charger was beeping too. Looks like the charger has an issue with one of its relays. (They have beep codes to indicate errors, which is how I know). 😞

Did get the car to 99%. Worried that the car starting and atoppjng charge sessions so often might be upsetting it.

Getting a new 240V line put into the garage today for a Level2 charger for the Jeep 4xe. No more 12 hour full charges, buuut just as much electricity used. Must remember that. Doesn’t use less leccy simply because charges quicker. The #JuiceBox is a damn beast of a device as well. Connects to Wi-Fi and all - what a wondrous time we live in.
