My thoughts :
We should all have the autonomy to decide when it's time, and to die with dignity. Society is far more merciful to animals than to humans in that regard. I don't understand why some faith-based institutions/religions try to block MAID for total strangers who don't share their beliefs. (Same with abortion). Let people decide for themselves. I wish this gracious lady and her family all of the best. -

@AmerLiberal Agreed. Here, in Oregon, the state has had a #DeathWithDignity Act on the books since October 27, 1997. I'm not sure how I feel about Governments mandating individual rights in general, but in this case, I'm satisfied to have the state somewhat protect an individual's right to their own physical autonomy. I question gov't setting ANY conditions, just to appease religion.

There's a Boston Globe poll about whether the Massachusetts Legislature should pass the “End of Life Options Act” providing for Medical Aid in Dying aka Death with Dignity. This is *only* for people in the last months of their lives - as certified by multiple health professionals - to take control of their own passing.
As a parent who watched her adult daughter slowly die of cancer in home hospice, I ask you to please vote YES.

2) Be able to post my opinions and graphics (which aren't very far from the mainstream with only a few exceptions like #BoycottIsrael and #DeathWithDignity) without censorship.
3) Ensure that those who are easily triggered by things like War and Politics are protected from my posts without my having to take any actions on a per-post basis. -
