at a small weekly resist rally in the Boston area I had a great convo with a lady about the MA legislature
I said that the Democrats who control MA have been shamefully slow in enacting policies to stop ICE in our state
She took the view that in a democracy, enacting laws should be a deliberate process
I wouldn't say either of us is wrong, but when I look at how shamefully slow MA vs the racists in the south, well we are loosing cause we are to nice

Important update on #ShotSpotter in Cambridge: at council meeting on May 11th there was an agenda item to vote to remove the ShotSpotter microphones, but Councilor Burhan exercised charter right to delay the vote for the week.

I was once a Brownsberger fan, but my enthusiasm waned as his progressivism did. My last straw was his refusal to support the unionization of legislature staff.
I don't know if Lander can beat him, but Brownsberger needs to feel heat from the left.
