@futurebird I remember the moment, as an adult, when I realised I was using trigonometry for particle #VFX work.
And then I found that I’ve been solving for x and dealing with fractions and percentage solutions continuously over the past 14 years as a commercial #brewer.
I had no idea about the practical application of mathematics that would be used all the time when I was 15 (and sadly, neither did my teachers). Learning the power and utility of #maths could have been a blast!

#MenaceFromTriton, a #SHMUP entry for the 2020 edition of the MSXdev compo, was quite good, and I enjoyed playing through it on stream. :)
I suck at it though, but thanks to #openMSX emulator's reverse functionality, I could finish the game by undoing my mistakes.When I have some time I should export the gameplay video. :)

Another nerd snipe for today: solve the definite integral from 0 to pi for the sine of 2x times the cosine of x dx. This one took a minute for me, but got the answer two different ways. Still a nice way to exercise integration techniques and trig identities.

It's also wild how much the idea that you need to start young seems to persist. I know so many people who started 'late' and look amazing.
There is such a focus on looking cis as if our current culture isn't hot garbage and attempting to define beauty in a way that is also unobtainable by cis people. Like no, you can look trans and still look amazing.

W tym roku Eurocon odbył się na Wyspach Alandzkich, w przyszłym widzimy się w Berlinie. A ostatnim polskim Euroconem był Tricon zorganizowany w Cieszynie razem z fanami z Czech.
