The trouble with #Fandom is that it's so erratic. It wants more of the same, but when it gets more of the same it wants something different; and when it gets something different it wants to go back to more of the same.
This is something #Grifters exploit. They speak to a segment of fandom that is transfixed on negativity, and with their help they turn every franchise into an ideological battlefield.
The dream of a pure #Fascist franchise will never be realised, so they will continue to whine.

It highlights the toxicity of modern fandom. I'm not even sure if you can call them fans, they are grifters who latch on to a franchise without knowing anything about the source material.
It's very much like how parasites function. They only care about themselves, and the prejudices of their supporters.

I remember giving $10 seed money back in 2017. Apparently I haven't posted for 5 years tho. My account's still there. I also remember there was some controversy over whether to allow loli art (as per usz). I don't know how that ended.

The email abt going nonprofit was very honest & cool from Julie. Does anyone love PF? I threw my lot in with #Dreamwidth earlier this year but maybe PF is worth reconsideration.

okay fr tho that pretty much hits the core of the whole thing though hey

(There actually are a couple of lines in this that do feel like the author scrapes the bone, as it were. They’re just buried very, very deep in the rest of the silly bullshit. But there is a core here that could be done as a legit crack-treated-seriously story about the relationship between art and success. Just . . . not like this, in this way, with these characters. Because lol.)
