Estaba muy pesado en la ciudad. Juan Roberto eligió sentarse en el medio de los últimos asientos del colectivo para que los rayos del sol no le dieran de lleno. Además le gustaba ese lugar. Se sentía guarecido.
Tenía veintitantos, iba con un pantalón corto, una remera y llevaba una mochila arriba de los muslos. El colectivo de la línea 102 que había tomado en Constitución estaba casi vacío, a excepción de una chica que viajaba de pie adelante. Juan Roberto no entendía bien por qué. A su lado, a un asiento de distancia, había un setentón vestido con pantalón de trabajo y camisa.
Cuando se acercaban a la calle Corrientes el hombre le pidió que le abriera la ventanilla. Juan Roberto se estiró un poco, hizo fuerza y logró que la ventanilla, que estaba atascada, se abriera. Los pocos pelos del viejo se arremolinaron.
–Gracias, muy amable.
–De nada.
El viejo lo miró fijo.
–¿Te puedo hacer una pregunta?
–Sí.
–Sos del interior, ¿no?
–No.
–Ah, porque la gente del interior suele ser más amable. Como vos. Los porteños nada que ver.
–¿Sí? Yo crecí en Lanús. No soy porteño.
–Queda poca gente amable.
Juan Roberto asintió, aunque no sabía si quedaba poca gente amable.
–Estás bronceado.
–Volví de vacaciones.
El viejo saltó la respuesta de Juan Roberto.
–Conozco muchos chicos del interior.
–¿Si?
El viejo extravió su mirada.
–Tengo una amiga. Es una señora mayor, de mucha plata. Le presento gente.
–¿Eh?
–Le presento amigos. Cada tanto. Te convendría ¿Dónde vivís?
–Cerca.
–Es de por acá. Ella te paga la comida. Comés de maravilla. No te pide mucho. Hasta te puede pagar otras cosas.
–¿Sí?
–Sí, paga. Te puede pagar el alquiler. Un hotel. Es muy culta. Buena compañía. Todos salen beneficiados.
Juan Roberto cavilaba. El viejo lo observaba como si fuera un insecto fácil de atrapar.
–¿No te gustaría que te la presente?
–No. Por ahora no.
– Igual, yo ando siempre por acá.
–Ya me toca bajarme.
–Seguro te vuelvo a cruzar. Y te voy a hacer la misma pregunta.
La mirada del viejo brillaba.
–Pensalo. Te convendría.
Era la parada de Juan Roberto.
Se levantó rápido. Saltó del colectivo.

Partner en Viaje brings together three original compositions — From a Distance, Xtrx Mxxd, and Partner en Viaje — alongside a remix of the title track by Gus Bonani. It is this original version that captures our attention for today’s Premiere.
From the outset, Partner en Viaje moves with remarkable restraint. The track emerges from a carefully shaded darkness, avoiding dramatic gestures in favour of subtle development. Individual sounds appear almost hesitantly, like isolated signals searching for connection before forming a shared direction. The sensation recalls walking through a landscape illuminated only by distant flickers of light. Fireflies suspended in the night. Fragile points of brightness capable of completely altering one’s perception of the surrounding space.
