For those who are looking for an alternative, but have always found it difficult to learn #Blender, you may find some additional components useful that will facilitate its use, and they are the PIE menu. https://extensions.blender.org/search/?q=PIE+menu

I'm not happy with this, but it was an overrated application, as well as being very expensive, for what it offered, with exceptional marketing behind it, important contacts in the #VFX industry that allowed it to take advantage of an undeserved advantage, in some videos they mocked other applications, but in the end, they decided to stop development, a shame for those who believed in this project. #modo #Foundry #2D #mesh #SubD #b3d #Blender #Blender3D

A very useful add-on for subtitle editing in #Blender was recently updated.
A suite of tools to empower working with subtitles/text strips in the #B3d #Video Sequence Editor. Highlights are multi-language auto-transcription of subtitles, import & export of subtitles, subtitle translation to multiple languages. #VSE

I found myself talking about the #AI issue, and the situation is worse than it looks. Now I'm even more afraid that our future, before too long, will end up resembling a world like Isaac Asimov's #Foundation, where there's an emperor or a dynasty, with lower worlds and peoples keeping things running, or like that Fritz Lang film from 1920 #Metropolis. #future

I don’t have much imagination, so to create #HDRI maps, I’m practically copying some maps from HDRI Heaven, but digitally. I’ve found some tricks to locate the positions of elements in the environment map. #b3d #Blender3D

The recently created environmental maps has given me the opportunity to learn new things, and I am working on another series where I aim to implement fresh ideas. This is a new Studio map tested with a car model in #Blender. #b3d #hdri #rendering

I've generated many #hdri environments maps and soon I will release all for free, are simple and maybe useful for product visualization and check of surfaces. #b3d #Rendering #CAD

I was watching some video tutorials for #RizomUV, but I struggle to understand what advantages it has compared to doing #UVMapping with #Blender, it will certainly have dedicated tools, but it's not magic, but you have to do what you do in #b3d.

Here in this useful web #Blender shader use specular value for shader but most of the other engine uses IOR, except for RenderMan that use complex #IOR NK value, I wonder Why? #b3d #blender3d

I have a bad feeling about this, perhaps this is the end of #Plasticity 3D support for Linux. I hope I’m wrong, but this could be the last year. 🥶 #CAD #Linux
Sometimes bad things happens, and this isn't the worst..👋 -
After starting to mess around with #Bézier curves in #Blender and Inkscape, I tried them out in #Plasticity and #Rhino too, and now I’ve decided I’m definitely using them whenever I’m working with #NURBS surfaces. A single-span degree-3 curve lets me make pretty much any shape with the fewest points possible and get perfectly smooth surfaces… plus there are a bunch of other perks! #CAD #b3d

Hey everyone, after all this time, #Plasticity is finally going to roll out #2D #technical #drawing generation from 3D models. I’m pitching in with ideas on how to structure the file. The 2D drawing will be exported as an SVG, but it’ll be neatly organized so you can edit it with #CAD software or #Inkscape. That said, development won’t kick off until November. The Parasolid kernel already has these features, so it’s just a matter of figuring out how to organize the file and handle the export.

I was thinking if was possible the use of geo node in for some simple CFD simulations, and this now there are many new nodes and I discovered there is a recent add-on that can do that. #b3d #blender #blender3D #Aerodynamic #Streamline #Simulator very cheap only $1.50 done by @MatterCg

So at this point in #Blender, #physics #simulations are basically done only with geometry nodes. Engines like #Mantaflow and #Bullet, or any other external engine, are pretty much a thing of the past now. #b3d #Blender3d

A new Version of #FreeShip is out I helped the developer to add a new import format, this now helps many that need to convert Subdivision Surfaces into #IGES, because now you can import VRML2 files I use #Blender to export into OBJ and then I convert OBJ into VRML2 with #Wings3D an application that preserve the quad topology, also #opensource, and still developed, sadly others app do a triangulations and you lose the topology information. #CAD #boat #design https://github.com/markmal/freeship-plus-in-lazarus/releases/tag/v5.3.1.537

The #SubD conversion of #FreeShip into #IGES is still unmatched for me, is an old Pascal code that works perfectly, very light file with surfaces with the same topology of the mesh cages #nurbs #CAD #plasticity3D #Moi3D #b3d #Blender3D #fc3d #opensource
