This thing is still kind of a mess but I'm having a great time working on it. 😍

Cleaned up the base building generator today and found and fixed a problem with the way building data was passing along data for rooftops.

Some buildings get rounded now, some buildings get a glowing rooftop, and there is a basic street traffic effect.

Iterating on this some more! Added a (populated) moon to the sky, fixed the UVs on the building screens and added some videos, and changed the base mesh of the city to be less uniform.

#Transport for #London (TfL) is bringing back #Cycle Sundays, offering unlimited free 60-minute Santander Cycles rides every Sunday in July, from 5 to 26 July. Free Day Pass codes, normally worth £3.50, can be redeemed via the #Santander #Cycles app, website or at docking stations. Registered members can also use the offer on e-bikes. The initiative aims to encourage more people, particularly beginners, to cycle by providing more than 50 leisure and beginner-friendly routes across London, plus free online cycle skills training. #TfL has also partnered with Strava and komoot, allowing riders to discover, plan and track routes. London's cycle hire scheme now has 12,000 #bikes, including more than 2,000 e-bikes, at more than 800 docking stations. Extra charges apply to rides lasting longer than 60 minutes.

📄 TfL’s decision paper dated 13 February 2026 sets out discretionary fee and charge increases for 2025/26 and 2026/27 to recover costs, address inflation and reduce its financial gap. The changes generate an expected £5.9m in 2026/27, with most increases based on RPI +1% (5.8%). Revised charges take effect mainly from 1 April 2026, with earlier changes for filming permits and Oyster fees.

Oyster card costs increase to £10.50, concession photocards rise slightly, and lost property retrieval fees increase across categories. Commercial charges include higher filming, planning, red route, bus stop, coach station and parking fees. Santander #Cycles and speed awareness course fees remain unchanged. #TfL states an equality assessment identifies limited impacts, with stakeholders informed before implementation.

Spent a few hours rendering out my MST3K hallway video, but discovered a weird bug in about 150 of the frames...

For some reason, using Geometry Nodes to dynamically swap out instances of a light fixture was causing nearby static lights to go overbright on some of the frames.

So, I ended up recreating the effect in a material shader and now everything's fine. Re-rendering! 😅
